While the echoes of the last season are still lingering, Joanneum Racing Graz is already looking ahead – and aiming higher. Ranked as the second-best team among more than 400 evaluated international teams, the current World Ranking in the electric class confirms the dedication and intense effort of the past season and highlights what is possible when technical expertise, team spirit, and passion come together. For the Weasels, achieving second place is far more than just a number. It represents countless hours of work, shared setbacks, and hard-earned successes. Above all, the silver medal is one thing: a huge source of motivation. It serves as an additional driving force for everything that lies ahead and pushes us to go full throttle once again in the current season – both on and off the track.
While the World Ranking may be in the spotlight, the real magic happens away from public attention. In the Weasels’ second home, better known as “the workshop,” the manufacturing phase is already in full swing. Concepts are turning into tangible components. Ideas are becoming reality. Milling, laminating, welding, and assembling are part of the daily routine – always with the goal of achieving the perfect combination of performance, reliability, and innovation in every single part.
Preparing for the current season demands far more than technical expertise alone. Team spirit and perseverance are just as crucial. Long days, short nights, and countless overtime hours define this intense phase. These are exactly the moments that shape our team and lay the foundation for a successful 2026 season.
For the Weasels, the World Ranking position is not an endpoint, but another milestone along our journey. It provides additional motivation and shows that the team’s continuous hard work is paying off. With every manufactured component, the anticipation grows for the moment when the JR26 will stand on its own wheels for the first time.
