2026 Season

From June 26 to 28, 2026, our team started the new Formula Student season with the JR26 at the FS Easter pre-event in Zalaegerszeg, Hungary. Our Weasels delivered an outstanding performance in the static disciplines: first place in the Business Plan, first place in the Cost & Manufacturing Event, and second place in Engineering Design secured the overall victory in the static classification.

The dynamic disciplines, however, presented some challenges: the rain test was only completed successfully on the fourth attempt, which was too late for it to count toward the official results. Nevertheless, the Brake Test and half of the Endurance event over 11 kilometers were completed successfully, albeit outside the official classification.

We finished fourth overall. By participating in FS Easter, we were able to test the JR26 in real competition conditions for the first time and now know exactly what areas we need to focus on before the upcoming events.

From 19 to 25 July 2026, our team travelled to Most in the Czech Republic for Formula Student Czech, our first official competition of the season. With the JR26 in tow, we took on the full competition programme there for the first time.

As well as successfully passing the scrutineering checks, we achieved strong results both on and off the track. We performed well in the static judging: we were particularly delighted to reach the Engineering Design final, where we ultimately finished in 3rd place. Our Cost & Manufacturing Weasels also made it to the final and secured an impressive 2nd place there.

Things went well on the track too. On the skidpad, we secured our next podium finish with third place. The week ultimately came to an emotional end in the endurance race. The JR26 completed the entire distance with fast and consistent laps; however, due to a problem during the subsequent post-scrutineering, the race could not be counted towards the results.

With three podium finishes, two places in the final and plenty of valuable insights, an intense first competition came to an end, and we moved straight on to the next stop of the season.

For the second race of our double-header, our team travelled to the Red Bull Ring in Austria from 25 to 31 July for the FSA home race. Having gained a wealth of valuable insights from the first races, we were able to demonstrate here that we had learnt from our previous experiences.

The week began with a smooth technical inspection. All the scrutineering tests were passed, and the JR26 was in fine form right from the start. In the static judging, we came second in the Engineering Design category. The team was also awarded second place in the ‘Best Use of Test Systems’ Special Award.

The JR26 also delivered on the track. First place in skidpad and second place in both the Endurance and Efficiency categories demonstrated consistent performance in the dynamic disciplines.

In the end, we managed to finish second in the overall standings – a particularly emotional moment for the whole team in front of our home crowd. The week of dedication and hard work has therefore more than paid off.
