Following the historic success of the JR24, the Formula Student Racing Team set itself ambitious goals once again with the JR25. A completely redesigned aerodynamics package, an actively air-cooled battery in the powertrain, and further developments in lightweight construction were to mark the next step. At the same time, the team wanted to build a new strength: an early, intensive testing season to unleash the car's full potential in time.
But once again, the road to the perfect race car was not easy. Delays in the development process prevented all concepts from becoming reality. At the beginning of the season, initial reliability hurdles also tested the team's patience and fighting spirit.
What followed then impressively demonstrated the team's cohesion and tenacity. Countless test kilometers were driven to eliminate weaknesses and hone strengths. The JR25 developed into a reliable and competitive race car that could keep up in all dynamic disciplines, even with passive aerodynamics. The consistent preparation paid off, and the car showed its true class in competition.
The result speaks for itself. Two overall victories in one season – a historic milestone for Joanneum Racing Graz. While the world rankings have yet to be published, one thing is already certain: the JR25 has proven that courage to innovate, discipline in the development process, and team spirit make all the difference.
