With the start of the new academic year, a new season begins for the Weasels of Joanneum Racing Graz. There’s a sense of excitement and adrenaline in the air – the Weasels are busy at work, and by summer they’ll once again be heading into the pit lanes of the first competitions. But until then, there’s still plenty to do.

Designs are being developed, concepts refined, and ideas turned into reality. For the upcoming season, the Weasels are getting support from a number of new team members. They’re joining the many departments – from Chassis, Sponsoring, Suspension, and PR & Design to E‑Powertrain – and bring a breath of fresh air and creativity to the team.

New Additions to the Weasels

Becoming a Weasel means joining a community driven by passion and teamwork. That’s something we, Mariella Woger and Nadja Brottrager, felt right from the start. As new Weasels, we were warmly welcomed into the racing family. Now we’re part of a group full of motivation, enthusiasm, and ambition – all united by the coolest hobby in the world: building a race car.

At Joanneum Racing Graz, you can grow beyond yourself while studying, make lasting friendships, and gain experiences that will stay with you forever – experiences that are also invaluable for your future career.

From the very beginning, we faced exciting tasks. In the “PR & Design” department, we were immediately able to create our first Instagram posts and plan new content formats. It was a great opportunity for us to learn and try something new. For us, Joanneum Racing Graz is a place where personal growth and mutual support take center stage.

What It Means to Be a Weasel

At Joanneum Racing Graz, it’s not just about developing skills – it’s about creating unforgettable memories. Together, we overcome challenges and celebrate successes that truly bring us together.

Even though our first tasks as new Weasels were quite challenging, we managed them well. And whenever help was needed, there was always someone to turn to. You never feel alone here! In “Race Control,” the team’s office, there’s always a busy Weasel around, and it quickly becomes clear: persistence pays off.

Over time, you begin to understand what makes this bond so special – every little step forward, every helping hand, and every moment when you grow beyond yourself. That’s where the motivation comes from to keep pushing – as a team and as individual Weasels.
